Ten Blessings Of The Week.

Ten Blessings of the week

I always loved doing this post at my old blog, and although tempted to go back to my old blog, I love this one more. It just feels more like me, so I am going to continue with it.  Feeling gratitude and blessed about my previous week is something that makes me feel so much more appreciative about my life.

This weeks 10 blessings are as follows:

  1. I am so blessed that on Monday Mighty Mouse, my self, and Little Miss Popularity were able to go for a lovely walk around the lake, we even took time out to, sit and watch the magnificent Pelicans.

  1. I am so blessed that on Tuesday I had a wonderful opportunity to do some online learning, and was able to send several hours doing my course. I think it is exciting to have opportunities to learn.

  1. I am so blessed that on Wednesday, we took Mighty Mouse for his new RF at the hearing place, it just looks like a pen, and works better than his old one. That means he can hear better.

  1. I am also so blessed to be able to trial a new communication device for Mighty Mouse, we had so much fun coming up with questions and answers. We even found a spot for Godzilla and Devil ( his favorite toys on it)

  1. I am also so blessed that Mr. Serious stills gets excited to share his homework with me, and ask for my feedback.

  1. I am so blessed that I got to spend some time out in the backyard under the tree, on my computer enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. It was just too nicer day and evening not to be out there.

  1. I am so blessed for warm sunny days, and cold rainy days, such variety makes getting dressed in the morning interesting. I love Melbourne weather.

  1. I am so blessed that my boys are still interested in watching a movie with their parents on our Friday night, movie night. This week we watch Ground Hog Day. An old movie, lovely story and funny.

  1. I am so blessed to be able to have a relaxing sleep in on Saturday morning, feeling so tired it was good not to have to get up early.

  1. I am so blessed that Hubby cooked Sunday morning breakfast, something special for the weekend, especially as I was working on Sunday.

Artist’s Date Excursion~Here are some ideas.

artist's date ideas 1

Recently I didn’t have to go to work, I was given an annual leave day. Such days are holidays, which means they are days to be enjoyed. A day not to be wasted. So I visited the National Gallery of Victoria for my Artist’s Date.

Like always the art gallery is full of treasures and exhibitions. I appreciated being able to just sit quietly and reflect upon the paintings.  I loved just going out side in the garden, at the moment it has mist happening, and bean bags all around for people to relax in. It is a beautiful space with seating and tables, garden and sculptures, grass and water.

Above I have included some ideas for an Artist’s Date. You get to choose when, where and what you do. There are many things you can do.

Plan weekly adventures for your Artist’s Date. Plan something you think you would love and enjoy, a play date for your self. Enjoy.

Where are you going on your next Artist’s Date?

Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Create a mood that supports you in flowing with your life this week.

I have the power to make people feel good.Cuddle me!

When I am feeling stressed, unloved, or simply in a low mood, it is hard to stay that way after cuddling my dog. She is just a fluffy cure to the ‘sads’ with the power to make me feel relaxed and brighter. There is something about cuddle doggy power.

I also enjoy listening to music, it brings a boost of joy into my day. I love finding new music, this keeps my days interesting, but I am really liking this album Telluric by Matt Corby. Some music gets me into an upbeat joyful mood and some music helps me chill out and relax, some music helps me focus and get my work done and some music makes me think deep and reflectively.

This brings me to this week’s prompt which is as follows: How can I help my mood support me in flowing with my life this week? It is by Jennifer Louden from her book The Life Organizer.

My life flow for the week contains days of high energy and low energy. Days of high emotional demands and other days of less emotional demands. Days where things go wrong, days when happy surprises occur, and days that are totally ordinary. Understanding my life flow, helps me to understand what mood might best support it. Then the task of creating a list of things like music, meditation, exercise, sleep, inspirational reading, aromatherapy, my journaling practice, and even cuddling a fluffy dag that affect my mood in a desired way. That way I have a section of things to turn to that can help my mood support me in flowing with my life this hour, day and even week.

Explore this question: How can I help my mood support me in flowing with my life this week?  Discover and write down your own lists of things that can help create a more desired mood that supports you flow through your life.

Wishing you a wonderful day!

Artist’s Date~Essential oils that uplift the spirits.

artist's date essential oil

A box of essential oils is tucked away in the cupboard, which is full of my collection of favorite oils. I was looking forward to burning peppermint oil in my infuser. I love peppermint. It is my happy oil, the one that gives me a boost of energy, and gets me focused.

It had been a tough day. I was suffering from the, ‘sads.’  I really needed peppermint, my happy oil to lift my spirits. However, when I went to use it  the peppermint bottle was empty. This inspired my Artist’s Date, of going out in search of essential oils that would uplift my spirits.

This weeks Artist’s Date was in search for oils that uplift the spirit and get me back to my happy place.  I headed down to the natural health store, in search of such oils. Smelling essential oils was my idea of fun. There were so many oils to choose from however I choose two, that I thought would lift my spirits. Firstly, my happy oil peppermint, and an unknown oil for me, grapefruit.

With my infuser out, candle lit, I tested out the unknown oil grapefruit. I infused its cheerful smell throughout my living room. Whilst I blended it with the relaxing sound of Daintree Dreamtime by Ken Davis in the background. By this time the ‘sads’ had left me, and I was feeling good about the day. My mood had certainly been lifted.

I am not sure if feeling good came from the adventure of my Artist’s Date to the health food store testing out essential oils, or from the the time I spent infusing the oil and listening to music. I have a feeling it was both, and I am very happy to have discovered a new essential oil grapefruit.

One of the things that gets in the way of me going on my Artist’s Date is coming up with ideas of what to do. Another is I get stuck doing the same things over and over again. I hope by sharing my Artist’s Date I can inspire you to come up with ideas for your own Artist’s Date. What was your artist’s date this week? Please share your thoughts in the comments. I am always curious about what other people do on their Artist’s Date and often find this inspirational for coming up with ideas for my own Artist’s Dates.

Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Enjoying a sparkly day out with my journal.

sparkly day out with journal

I am currently listening to Cafe Chillout, it is a hot day, and the heavy rain comes down and I can hear the thunder. I love a thunderstorm.  It is a strange day. The fact that I get to sit here and watch it makes me happy. I feel fortunate that I have the flexibility to pick my boys up from school and to be able to take my youngest boy to all his medical appointments. I sit outside under the pergola enjoying nature, music and my glass of ice tea as I write this post. My devoted companion Little Miss Popularity keeps me company, as I wait for hubby to come home. This is how I love my life to feel. It may not feel like this every moment of the day but if I can include moments like this in my day or week life feels good.

This week I have been doing a course by Jen at Journal Wild, her 5- day intuitive journaling challenge, it has been lots of fun to work in my visual/art journal. My big take away was intuition shows up on the page, effortlessly everyday with love. For more information about this go to http://journalwild.com

Explore your own ideas about intuition in your journal, go to journal wild and follow Jen’s instructions. It really is a wonderful experience.

Whilst earlier on today I was out in the park journaling in the shade of some gum trees enjoying an amazing sunny day. It was an opportunity to relax and enjoy the good weather on my day off.

Wishing you all a wonderful day!
