It is 6am the alarm goes off; you wake up feeling tired. Hopefully your partner brings you a coffee to get you started. Out of bed, shower, drag grumpy teenagers out of bed, breakfast, lunches, and school drop off. Plus, emptying dishwasher, finding lost items, another load of washing, and making beds all squeezed in the small free spaces. It is nice to come home, fall in a heap, enjoy a coffee/tea and some writing time in your journal. Mornings are just crazy and they need a calming space. Morning journaling time can be one way to provide that calming space. A beautiful pause in the day before jumping back into the rest of your full day of housework, work, voluntary work, and personal projects.
Whilst a walk during the day can re-energize the body, as well as being another peaceful pause, added to the day, it can be fitted in free moments during the morning, lunch, or after dinner.
That is what a journaling practice and walking can do for you, bring more calmness to your day, which makes life so much more enjoyable.
Easiest way to start journaling is with a cheap note-book and a pen, then just start writing. Whilst walking is free!
Wishing you all a wonderful day!
