Last night I dreamed……………..

Last night I dreamed, a crazy ridiculous story about me and my life. It is so awesome that dreams don’t need to make sense. That dreams are my soul’s way of speaking to me and giving me clues and answers to my day time life. I love how my dreams are so imaginative, so weird, so out of the box, and even so disturbing. Whilst sometimes I think my dreams are the best movies that I have ever seen.

We dream every night, and every morning I struggle to recall my dreams, and I feel like I am missing out on a bonanza of night time soul movies. I have been trying to recall my dreams as part of my regular journaling practice. What I have noticed is the more I try to recall my dreams the easier it gets to recall them. I also read somewhere that before you go to sleep, tell yourself that you will remember your dreams. I am not sure if this helps however I am certainly trying it. I also was told going to bed early and getting a good night’s sleep is good for dreaming and helpful for recalling dreams. I have noticed if I am really tired that I find it harder to recall my dreams.

Another idea is to have a dream journal. I have been reluctant to add another journal to my collection. However, having a dedicated dream journal would make it easier to track and find patterns with my dreams. One of the things I am finding with my dreams is they are prompting questions about my life, which is a good thing, and makes what I am journaling about much deeper and more interesting.

I really don’t know what I am doing when it comes to dream journaling but I am thinking there is some value in it so I have done some investigating and found the following.

Wiki How: How to keep a dream journal – http://www.wikihow.com/Keep-a-Dream-Journal

Wiki How: How to interpret your dreams- http://www.wikihow.com/Interpret-Your-Dreams

Both good articles for getting started and also I am thinking maybe I should have a dedicated dream journal. Whilst I have ordered some books from the library to try and learn more about dream journaling. If you have any tips on keeping a dream journal it would be great if you could share your thoughts in the comments section.

Wishing you all a wonderful day!
